Summary:

Dona Flor, a giant lady with a big heart, sets off to protect her neighbors from what they think is a dangerous animal, but soon discovers the tiny secret behind the huge noise.


Mora and Colon incorporated beautiful illustrations and an amazing narrative that worked in unison with the color scheme of this book. Soft and warm colors were used throughout the book creating a pleasant mood. Spanish words are incorporated into the text. Excellent use of onomatopoeias.
