Henry Holt and Company (BYR).
Summary:
This story narrates in verse the spooky essence of Halloween. Under October's luna, full and bright, the monsters are throwing a ball in the Haunted Hall. Las brujas come on their broomsticks. Los muertos rise from their coffins to join in the fun. Los esqueletos rattle their bones as they dance through the door. And the scariest creatures of all aren't even there yet!
Montes and Morales created a spooky story that incorporated beautiful illustrations that lead to a better understanding of the story. This book can be used for reader’s theater/roleplay. The use of rhyming in verse creates a whimsical tone. Additionally, this book can be used to teach the synonyms in translation as it exposes vocabulary in Spanish and English.
