Rohmann, E. (2002). My Friend Rabbit. Adfo Books.
Summary:
Mouse narrates an adventure he encountered with his friend Rabbit. For some reason, Rabbit always finds a way to get in trouble. One day, the mouse's red and yellow biplane got stuck on a tree, and Rabbit had an idea to solve this problem. He created a giant pyramid composed of different animals that tumbled down as they recovered the airplane. Soon, Mouse realizes that he loves his friend no matter what and learns to accept him the way he is.
Tremendous physical humor delivers a gentle lesson about accepting friends as they are.
This book contains colorful illustrations that work in unison with the text. The oil painting illustrations with thick-lined outlines are vivid, kid friendly, and comforting. This book is an excellent resource to introduce the true meaning of friendship. Additionally, it can be used to inspire worldwide audiences to accept friends as they are.
