Technology has become an essential tool in education, and podcasting is no different. The use of podcasts has heavily increased over the past years to transform instruction in an innovative way. These tools have not only enhanced the way we connect with our students, but also has revolutionized the way we increase student engagement. Being able increase learning accessibility and connectivity anytime and anywhere offers endless possibilities.
Different Platforms

Anchor
From all the platforms that I tried, Anchor was my favorite. To sign up for my account, I was prompted to log in with Google, Twitter, Facebook or Apple and it was extremely easy. You can record directly from the site or upload your audio recording. It has multiple features that can enhance your episodes such as background music, messages, and transitions. This site is free and fairly simple. The only aspect I would like for this site to offer is the option to pause your audios as you record or being able to edit the audios after recording. Unfortunately, if you make a mistake while recording, you will have to start your recording all over again.
Podbean

Podbean was a great tool as well. It offers an option to sign up for a free account and log it with Facebook, Google, or Apple. In my personal perspective, this site is user friendly and with great features. I really like that you can upload an audio or host a live stream episode. With the free account, you have up to 5 hours of free recording time.
Soundcloud

As I registered for my account, I noticed that I was prompted to start a 30-day free trial. After the 30 days, there is a monthly fee. The free account allows up to three hours of upload time. The free membership allows you to access basic insight insides. I like that Soundcloud can be embedded to my blog posts on Wix.
As I worked with Mrs. Gonzalez, we realized that Anchor best suited our needs. It was extremely simple to use and you we had so much fun exploring all its features. Please take a minute to listen to our podcast using Anchor.
Educational Podcasts
As I dived into the world of educational podcasts, I came across several options that offered great insight for educators and librarians. Here are a couple of options.
Hi Nora!
Podcasts are yet another way to share information and teach! It’s a media that continues to gain popularity due to its ability to reach many people. It’s accessible to listeners through phone, tablets, computers, and many other devices. Personally, I am always on the go and appreciate that I can listen to them anywhere I am. In our field of work, it is a great way for teachers, librarians, and anyone in education to stay informed.
It was great working with you!
Those are some great podcasts to check out, thanks for sharing!
I too used Anchor and found it to be very user friendly. I was able to edit our clip with in Anchor but it did take some extra steps. I agree that there needs to be a pause feature to make recording more seamless.
