Wiesner, D. (2001). The Three Pigs. Clarion Book

In this version of an old tale, the three pigs find their way out of the story by the wolf’s huffing and puffing. As the three pigs try to escape from the wolf, they embark into a humorous journey by jumping out of pages and making new friends along the way.
David Wiesner incorporated different tales in a very imaginative way. Wiesner included vivid illustrations that help narrate the story. These illustrations were created with various artistic techniques such as watercolor, colored inks, and pencil. The cover of the book portrays the essence of the tale that is famous around the world, however, as the story progresses, the story evolves in an unexpected twist to a surprising happy ending.
