Technology has increasingly impacted the way we connect to our students. It has empowered educators with innovative tools to reach and improve instruction to increase engagement in our schools. Investing the time to create a YouTube channel is something to consider to promote our libraries and its services. YouTube is one of the online platforms that has maintained popularity and consistency among all generations. Therefore, I can foresee implementing this tool to promote my future library.

Check out how these libraries have used YouTube as an instructional tool, increase engagement, reminders, and promote library services.

Book Trailer

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing was written by Judy Blume. This is a book that I always read to

my 3rd graders during our first semester. The majority of them are able to connect with Peter and Fudge. They truly enjoy reading about Peter's experiences with his mischievous brother. I used Animoto to create a book trailer for this story. Please use the QR code below to access it. Let me know what you think!!!

I noticed we identified with a lot of the same YouTube videos from the given libraries as favorites! Great minds think a like! LOL! And your book trailer is AMAZING! I absolutely love Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume! I try to read it to my third graders towards the end of the year. And they absolutely love Superfudge by Judy as well! It is my all time favorite book since I was in elementary school!

I love Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing and your book trailer was right on target. Loved it! I can definitely see why librarians creating book trailers will benefit our students. They are short and give just a little of the book to hook the readers.

Your book trailer was adorable and cute, along with catchy! I enjoyed all the tidbits of what Fudge does, but isn't in trouble until...great set up and lead in for students.
